We are seeking a skilled and motivated Microsoft 365 Engineer to join our IT Service Operations team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the administration, configuration, optimisation, and security of our Microsoft 365 environment across a global enterprise. This role is critical in ensuring seamless collaboration, productivity, and compliance across the organisation's M365 tenant, supporting services including Exchange Online, Microsoft Teams, SharePoint Online, OneDrive, Power Automate, Microsoft CoPilot and new MSFT AI solutions. The role requires the engineer to handle complex integrations with our Archive platforms and Collaboration tools including managing incidents, implementing automation solutions, and improving service delivery across messaging and collaboration platforms.
Responsibilities:
Key Responsibilities

M365 Administration — Administer and maintain Microsoft 365 tenant services, including Exchange Online, Microsoft Teams, SharePoint Online and OneDrive. Monitor service health and ensure optimal performance and availability.

Security & Compliance — Implement and manage security measures including Conditional Access policies, Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA), Data Loss Prevention (DLP), and compliance policies using Microsoft Purview. Identify security risks and recommend mitigation strategies.

Incident & Service Request Management — Provide L3 technical support for M365-related incidents and service requests. Support and manage tools such as Proofpoint, Mimecast, SendGrid, Miro, Global Relay, Docusign and Dropbox.

Migration & Integration — Plan and execute migrations from legacy systems to Microsoft 365 (e.g., tenant-to-tenant migrations). Support integration of M365 services with third-party enterprise platforms.

Automation & AI - Design and deliver AI enabled solutions across the Microsoft 365 ecosystem, stay current with new AI tech that MSFT roles out to enhance employee productivity and collaboration.

Documentation & Knowledge Management — Create and maintain system documentation, standard operating procedures, runbooks, and knowledge base articles for support processes and the wider IT team.

User Training & Adoption — Provide end-user training and support on M365 applications. Champion M365 solutions and promote adoption of new features across the organization.
Qualifications:
Required Skills & Experience

Experience supporting Microsoft 365 in an enterprise environment

Strong troubleshooting across Exchange Online and Teams

Hands-on PowerShell scripting / automation experience

Experience with Copilot, Power Automate, and Microsoft Graph API
- Solid understanding of mail flow (SMTP, connectors) and identity

Experience managing incidents, service requests, and escalations

Experience managing M&A migration projects for Microsoft O365

Ability to prioritise workload in a fast-paced support environment

Experience with Security tools (Entra ID, Defender, Sentinel, Intune)

Experience with Financial compliance tools (Global Relay, Purview, Proofpoint)

Experience with communication tools (Symphony, Ice Chat, WeChat, WhatsApp)

Exposure to hybrid Exchange environments

Knowledge of M365 security & compliance (DLP, retention)

Experience with ServiceNow or similar ITSM tools
Certifications (Preferred)

Minimum one Associate certification in Teams, Endpoint, Identity, or Security
