Job Summary
We are looking for a Hardware Engineer with 6 months to 1 year of experience and a basic understanding of hardware design and electronics. The candidate should have hands-on or academic experience with Altium Designer and should be interested in developing and testing electronic hardware systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the design and development of electronic hardware circuits and boards.
- Create and modify schematics and PCB layouts using Altium Designer.
- Understand basic electronic components, circuits, and hardware design concepts.
- Assist in PCB design, component selection, and preparation of design documentation.
- Perform basic hardware testing, debugging, and troubleshooting.
- Support prototype development, PCB assembly, and board bring-up activities.
- Analyze hardware issues and assist senior engineers in identifying solutions.
- Review schematics and PCB layouts for basic design and connectivity issues.
- Coordinate with firmware, software, and mechanical teams for product development activities.
- Maintain proper documentation of hardware designs, test results, and revisions.
- Follow company standards and engineering practices during hardware development.
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of hardware design and electronics.
- Basic understanding of analog and digital electronic circuits.
- Basic knowledge of Altium Designer is mandatory.
- Understanding of schematic capture and PCB layout concepts.
- Basic knowledge of electronic components such as resistors, capacitors, diodes, transistors, ICs, connectors, etc.
- Basic knowledge of PCB manufacturing and assembly processes.
- Ability to use basic electronic testing equipment such as a Digital Multimeter (DMM) and oscilloscope.
- Basic troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Good analytical and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary engineering team.
Preferred Skills
- Experience working on electronic product development or prototype boards.
- Basic understanding of microcontrollers, sensors, communication interfaces, or embedded hardware.
- Knowledge of PCB design guidelines and design-for-manufacturing concepts.
- Exposure to hardware debugging and board testing.
- Knowledge of interfaces such as UART, SPI, I2C, USB, CAN, or RS-232/RS-485 will be an advantage.
Qualification
- B.E. / B.Tech. in Electronics & Communication Engineering (ECE) or equivalent qualification.
- 6 Months – 1 Year of relevant experience in hardware design/development.
- Freshers with strong academic/project experience in hardware design and Altium may also be considered.
