Job Description:
We are looking for a detail oriented IQC professional to manage our incoming materials. This is a hands on position suited for someone who understands that the foundation of a great wire harness starts with high quality raw materials.
Role Overview
The QA IQC specialist will be responsible for inspecting and validating all incoming raw materials, including wires, terminals, connectors, and bought-out components. You will act as the first line of defense, working closely with the procurement team and suppliers to ensure that only compliant materials enter the production floor, thereby preventing downstream defects.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct rigorous visual, dimensional, and functional inspections of incoming raw materials against engineering drawings and specifications.
Build discipline in incoming inspection processes, sampling plans, and documentation.
Identify, isolate, and report non conforming materials promptly.
Ensure supplier materials meet agency compliances (UL/CSA, RoHS/REACH).
Work closely with the procurement team and suppliers to address quality issues and reduce variations.
Drive root cause analysis for supplier related defects and request Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA).
Maintain accurate records of incoming inspection results and supplier performance metrics.
Required Experience
3–5+ years of experience in IQC roles within wiring harness or similar electronics/electromechanical manufacturing.
Practical understanding of raw materials such as wires, terminals, connectors, and molded cable components.
Experience using inspection tools (calipers, micrometers, pull testers, etc.).
Skills & Attributes

Knowledge Requirements
Working knowledge of quality standards such as IPC/WHMA A 620.
Understanding of AQL (Acceptable Quality Limit) sampling plans.
Familiarity with material compliance requirements under ISO 9001:2015 and IATF 16949.
(Certifications are not mandatory, but strong working knowledge is required.)
