Role Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Civil Draftsman to join our engineering team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in drafting and detailing road, highway, and civil infrastructure projects. You will work closely with our civil engineers and design team to produce accurate technical drawings. Candidates with proven experience handling road infrastructure projects in the Middle East and a strong familiarity with regional design standards will be given high preference.
Key Responsibilities
- Drafting & Detailing: Create highly accurate 2D and 3D detailed technical drawings for road infrastructure, including horizontal and vertical alignments, cross-sections, profiles, and intersections.
- Utility Coordination: Draft layouts for associated civil works such as stormwater drainage, earthworks, grading, street lighting, and utility corridors.
- Standard Compliance: Ensure all drawings and blueprints conform strictly to project specifications, international standards (AASHTO), and specific Middle East regional codes (e.g., RTA, Ashghal, MOT).
- Revisions & As-Builts: Update drawings based on engineer markups, field reports, and design changes. Prepare final "As-Built" drawings upon project completion.
- Collaboration: Coordinate seamlessly with highway engineers, surveyors, and project managers to resolve design conflicts and ensure project timelines are met.
- Quantity Estimation: Assist in extracting quantities and preparing Bill of Quantities (BOQ) from CAD drawings.
- Document Control: Maintain organized digital files, drawing logs, and revisions in the company’s document management system.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Education: Diploma in Civil Engineering, Drafting Technology, or a related technical certification.
- Experience: Minimum of 1-3 years of professional experience as a Civil Draftsman, specifically focused on road, highway, and heavy civil infrastructure.
- Core Software: Expert-level proficiency in AutoCAD.
- Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of civil engineering concepts, topography, grading, and road geometry. Ability to read and interpret complex engineering blueprints and survey data.
- Soft Skills: Strong communication skills, high attention to detail, and the ability to work under tight project deadlines.
Preferred (Standout) Qualifications
- Middle East Experience: Demonstrated portfolio of work on Middle East (GCC) road infrastructure projects is highly preferred.
- Regional Standards: Familiarity with Gulf region authority standards and submission requirements.
- Advanced Software: Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D or MicroStation is a major plus.
Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹45,000.00 per month
