Job Summary
SAMMS TECH SPM & AUTOMATION is seeking a skilled and motivated Welder to join our manufacturing team. The candidate will be responsible for welding, fabrication, and assembly of machine structures, frames, and components used in Special Purpose Machines (SPM) and Industrial Automation projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform MIG, TIG, Arc, and CO₂ welding operations as per project requirements.
- Read and interpret fabrication drawings and welding symbols.
- Fabricate machine frames, structures, and sheet metal components.
- Ensure proper weld quality, alignment, and dimensional accuracy.
- Grind, finish, and inspect welded components.
- Handle cutting, drilling, and fitting activities when required.
- Maintain welding equipment and tools in good working condition.
- Follow safety procedures and use PPE while performing welding operations.
- Support assembly and fabrication teams during machine manufacturing.
- Report defects and welding issues to the supervisor.
Required Skills
- Knowledge of MIG, TIG, Arc, and CO₂ welding processes.
- Ability to read fabrication drawings and welding specifications.
- Good understanding of metal fabrication and welding techniques.
- Knowledge of measuring instruments and quality standards.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail and safety practices.
Qualification
- ITI Welder / Fitter
- SSLC / HSC (Preferred)
