Position: Front Office Associate
Department: Front Office
Reports To: Front Office Manager
Location: Hotel Star Palace
Job Summary
The Front Office Associate is responsible for providing a warm, professional, and efficient welcome to guests while handling check-in, check-out, reservations, guest requests, and general front desk operations. The role ensures excellent guest service and smooth coordination with other hotel departments.
Key Responsibilities
- Welcome and greet guests in a courteous and professional manner.
- Complete guest check-in and check-out procedures accurately and efficiently.
- Handle reservations, room assignments, amendments, and cancellations as required.
- Provide information about hotel facilities, services, room types, and local attractions.
- Handle guest requests, enquiries, complaints, and feedback promptly and professionally.
- Maintain accurate guest records and update information in the hotel's PMS.
- Handle cash, credit card transactions, billing, and other payment procedures accurately.
- Prepare and maintain front office reports, registers, and relevant documentation.
- Coordinate with Housekeeping regarding room status, room readiness, and special guest requirements.
- Coordinate with other departments to ensure smooth and timely guest service.
- Maintain confidentiality and security of guest information.
- Follow hotel policies, SOPs, health and safety requirements, and security procedures.
- Promote hotel services and assist with upselling rooms and other hotel facilities when appropriate.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and professional front desk and lobby area.
- Perform other duties assigned by the Front Office Manager or Management.
Qualifications & Skills
- Diploma or degree in Hotel Management, Hospitality, or a related field preferred.
- Previous hotel/front office experience is an advantage.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Pleasant personality with a customer-service-oriented approach.
- Basic computer and PMS knowledge.
- Good numerical and cash-handling skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks.
- Good problem-solving and teamwork skills.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
Pay: Up to ₹12,000.00 per month
