We are establishing our presence in Ahmedabad and are seeking a visionary, highly technical Senior Interior Designer to lead our interior fit-out and design management workflows.
Position Summary
As a Senior Interior Designer, you will be responsible for leading the interior design lifecycle from initial concept and space planning through to detailed technical specifications, material sourcing, and site execution. This role demands a rare combination of elite aesthetic sensibility, deep material knowledge, and strong technical coordination skills (including BIM/Revit integration) to deliver world-class luxury spaces.
Key Responsibilities
- Concept & Space Planning: Develop avant-garde interior concepts, spatial layouts, and mood boards that align with the premium branding of luxury commercial, residential, and hospitality projects.
- Technical Documentation & Detailing: Oversee and produce comprehensive Interior Design (ID) packages, including detailed construction drawings, bespoke joinery/millwork details, ceiling layouts, and floor finish plans.
- Material Sourcing & Specifications: Select and specify high-end fixtures, furniture, and equipment (FF&E). Maintain deep technical knowledge of premium materials, luxury finishes, and international sourcing standards.
- MEP & Structural Coordination: Collaborate closely with in-house structural, electrical, and mechanical engineers to ensure seamless coordination of services (HVAC containment, lighting automation, ELV systems) within interior spaces.
- Client & Contractor Management: Act as a key technical representative for interior design works, presenting concepts to premium clients, coordinating with international vendors, and resolving site execution or fit-out queries.
- Quality Assurance & Site Supervision: Conduct periodic site inspections to ensure that execution precisely matches approved shop drawings, design intents, and elite craftsmanship standards.
Qualifications & Skills
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree or Master’s Degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a closely related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 7 to 10+ years of proven experience in luxury residential, premium corporate workspaces, or high-end hospitality fit-outs. Experience working with or within Middle Eastern/international design standards is highly preferred.
- Software Proficiency: Expert-level command of Autodesk Revit (BIM workflow), AutoCAD, SketchUp/3ds Max, and the Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign).
- Technical Acuity: Strong understanding of statutory codes, fire safety integrations (NFPA standards), Vastu/spatial alignment principles, and complex millwork fabrication.
- Communication: Exceptional verbal and written English communication skills; ability to articulate complex design visions to high-profile stakeholders and technical site teams.
