Key Job Responsibilities
- Installation & Setup: Installing new printing machinery, configuring software, and testing functionality upon delivery.
- Preventive Maintenance: Performing scheduled maintenance, cleaning, and inspections to prevent mechanical or electrical breakdowns.
- Troubleshooting & Repair: Diagnosing technical errors (mechanical, electrical, or software), replacing defective parts (such as print heads, motors, or sensors), and restoring machines to working order.
- Technical Support & Training: Assisting machine operators with troubleshooting, providing training on proper operation, and optimizing machine settings for better print quality.
- Quality Control & Calibration: Monitoring print quality, ensuring correct color management, and calibrating machines to meet specific print standards.
- Documentation: Keeping accurate records of repairs, service activities, and maintenance schedules
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of printer mechanics, electronics, and software, specifically with platforms like HP, Konica, or Ricoh.
- Problem-Solving: Ability to quickly diagnose issues under pressure to minimize production downtime.
- Knowledge of Materials: Familiarity with flex, vinyl, and other media types.
- Experience: Often requires 1–3 years of experience, with some roles requiring a degree in Engineering or a related technical field.
Typical Benefits & Working Conditions
