Nextgen IT Solutions is looking for a skilled and experienced Laptop & Desktop Service Engineer – Chip Level / Motherboard Repair to join our technical service team in Ravipuram, Kochi.
The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on experience in laptop and desktop hardware troubleshooting, motherboard repair, chip-level servicing, and component-level fault diagnosis. The candidate will be responsible for identifying technical issues, carrying out repairs, testing devices, and ensuring quality service.
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair laptops, desktops, and motherboards
- Perform chip-level and component-level motherboard repairs
- Troubleshoot power, charging, display, USB, BIOS, and other motherboard issues
- Perform SMD soldering and component replacement
- Identify faulty ICs, MOSFETs, capacitors, resistors, and other components
- Use schematics and boardview for accurate fault diagnosis
- Perform BIOS programming and motherboard troubleshooting
- Handle MacBook and other laptop motherboard repairs
- Test repaired devices and ensure proper functionality
- Maintain proper service records and follow company quality standards
Requirements
- 3+ years of relevant experience preferred FOR CHIP LEVEL
- MIN 1+YR relevant experience preferred FOR SOFTware and HARDWARE
- Strong knowledge of laptop and desktop hardware
- Hands-on experience in chip-level motherboard repair
- Good knowledge of electronics and circuit troubleshooting
- Experience in SMD soldering and component replacement
- Knowledge of schematics and boardview
- BIOS programming knowledge is an advantage
- Good problem-solving and diagnostic skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
