Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role based in Mysuru for an Accountant Cum Course Counsellor. The role includes managing day-to-day accounting activities such as recording transactions, handling fee collections, maintaining ledgers, preparing basic financial reports, and coordinating with management for accounting documentation. The position also involves counselling prospective students, explaining course offerings, fees, eligibility, and admission procedures, as well as following up on inquiries via phone, email, or in person. The Accountant Cum Course Counsellor will support admission processes, maintain accurate student records, and assist in organizing orientations or information sessions. The role requires regular coordination with academic and administrative teams to ensure smooth financial operations and a positive experience for learners and visitors.
Qualifications
- Solid understanding of basic accounting principles, including bookkeeping, ledger maintenance, reconciliation, and fee management.
- Proficiency in accounting software and tools (such as Tally or similar), along with strong MS Office skills, especially Excel and Word.
- Strong student counselling and customer service abilities, including explaining course details clearly and addressing questions with patience.
- Excellent communication skills in English and local/regional languages, with a professional and empathetic approach in person and over phone/email.
- Strong organizational and record-keeping skills, with attention to detail and accuracy in handling financial and student data.
- Ability to work collaboratively with academic and administrative teams, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines in a busy campus environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field; prior experience in education administration or counselling is an advantage.
- High level of integrity, confidentiality in handling financial and student information, and a learner-focused attitude.
Pay: ₹11,461.39 - ₹43,012.06 per month
