Job Overview
Senior Security Engineers lead our Information Security team in handling a diverse set of security-related tasks and issues for the company, with a specialized focus on Threat Management. Senior Security Engineers will be tasked with identifying potential threats, assessing the risks they pose, and developing strategies to mitigate them. The candidate should have a strong background in threat hunting, threat analysis, remediation, Data Loss Prevention (DLP), automation, and query writing. This includes applying and evolving security policies, engineering robust security controls to protect against threats, and recommending strategic modifications to corporate systems and production environments to preempt security breaches.
Activities include implementing advanced threat detection mechanisms, leading threat intelligence and analysis efforts, coordinating incident response and remediation activities, and developing and reporting key performance indicators specific to threat management. Senior Security Engineers are expected to engage in professional development and maintain up-to-date knowledge of the threat landscape, threat modeling, and predictive security analysis.

Responsibilities
- Threat Hunting: Proactively search for and identify potential threats within the organization’s network and systems using advanced threat detection techniques and tools.
- Threat Analysis: Analyze and interpret threat data to understand the nature, scope, and potential impact of threats. Develop actionable intelligence and threat reports.
- Remediation: Develop and implement strategies to remediate identified threats. Work closely with IT and security teams to ensure timely and effective threat mitigation.
- Data Loss Prevention (DLP): Implement and manage DLP solutions to prevent unauthorized access, use, or transmission of sensitive data. Monitor and respond to DLP alerts.
- Automation: Develop and implement automated processes for threat detection, analysis, and response. Utilize scripting and automation tools to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
- Query Writing: Write and optimize queries for threat detection and analysis. Utilize SIEM (Security Information and Event Management) tools and other security analytics platforms.
- Threat Intelligence Program: Develop and manage a comprehensive threat intelligence and threat management program. Gather, analyze, and disseminate threat intelligence to relevant stakeholders.
- Collaboration: Work closely with other cybersecurity professionals, IT teams, and stakeholders to ensure a cohesive and comprehensive approach to threat management.
- Continuous Improvement: Stay up-to-date with the latest threat intelligence, trends, and technologies. Continuously improve threat management processes and tools.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in an information security analyst/engineering role with a significant focus on threat management.
- Develop and manage a threat intelligence and threat management program that includes the collection, analysis, and dissemination of information on emerging threats.
- Lead the deployment and management of advanced intrusion detection systems, security information and event management (SIEM) systems, and orchestrate the company's threat response initiatives.
- Utilize expert knowledge in critical technologies such as servers, networking, operating systems, databases, CI/CD, and cloud services to identify system vulnerabilities and potential threat vectors.
- Design and implement proactive measures to mitigate identified threats, resolve vulnerabilities, and reduce the company's risk profile.
- Ensure that security documentation is continuously updated to reflect the current threat landscape and the measures in place to protect against it.
- Direct and manage threat-related projects, provide ad hoc threat management support, and ensure that solutions align with iCIMS's security standards and the evolving nature of threats.
Preferred
- Bachelor’s Degree in Information Security, Computer Engineering/Science, Information Management Systems, or equivalent.
- Relevant certifications such as Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Cloud Security Professional (CCSP), Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH), or equivalent are strongly preferred, with a focus on threat management and analysis.
