You are our first dedicated sales hire. Your job is simple to describe and hard to do well: get qualified Indian SMB owners and digital-first businesses on a demo call, show them what RankMesh does in 15 minutes, and close them.
This is not a strategy role. It is not a marketing role. It is a quota-carrying, commission-earning, phone-and-WhatsApp, high-volume closing role. You will be measured on one thing: revenue closed per month.
You will work directly with the founder (Himanshu Shukla) and have direct access to the product, the dashboard, and the advisors.
What You Will Do
Prospecting & Pipeline
- Own the full sales cycle — from first contact to signed contract — for SMB and mid-market accounts. Build and work a pipeline of 50–100 active prospects at any time using WhatsApp, LinkedIn. From our partner networks (650+ SMBs; 3,000+ via our distribution partner; inbound leads will be shared with you). Identify and reach out to high-fit prospects: local businesses, e-commerce stores, clinics, restaurants, real estate agents, agencies, nutritionists and any brand that needs to be found online.
Demo & Closing
- Conduct live product demos — screen-share, WhatsApp video, or in-person — showcasing the RankMesh dashboard, agent activity feed, and GEO score. Handle objections confidently: price, ROI timeline, comparison to agencies, comparison to existing tools. Close deals at ₹25,000 – ₹35,000/month (Done-For-You tier). Follow up relentlessly — most SMB deals close on the 3rd to 5th touchpoint.
Reporting
- Maintain a clean daily log of calls made, demos conducted, proposals sent, and deals closed. Weekly pipeline report to the founding team. Track your own conversion rates: lead → demo, demo → proposal, proposal → close.
What We Are Looking For
Must Have
- 2–4 years of quota-carrying B2B sales experience — SaaS, digital products, or tech-enabled services. Proven track record of high-volume SMB sales — comfortable closing 15 deals per month at ₹10k–₹50k ticket sizes. Fluent in Hindi and English — can hold a confident sales conversation with a Ludhiana kirana owner and a Mumbai e-commerce founder in the same afternoon. Demo-first sales mentality — you believe the product sells itself if shown correctly. WhatsApp-native: comfortable sending voice notes, screen recordings, and following up over chat. Self-starter: can build your own pipeline from scratch, does not need hand-holding on prospecting.
Strong Preference
- Previous experience at: IndiaMART, Justdial, Zoho, Salesforce India, UrbanClap / Urban Company, Times Internet, NoBroker, Razorpay, or any growth-stage Indian B2B SaaS company. Familiarity with digital marketing concepts: SEO, Google Business Profile, keywords, local search, content marketing. Experience selling to business owners directly (not procurement or IT teams). Has personally used or sold any SEO / digital marketing tool — Ahrefs, Semrush, Moz, or similar.
Not Required
- Deep technical knowledge of SEO, AI, or software — you will learn what you need from us in 1 week. Prior experience with large enterprise sales or long sales cycles. A fancy degree — results and hunger matter more.
Fixed Base Salary
₹40,000/month
Commission — Done-For-You
8% of first 3 months revenue
