We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Assistant Team Lead (ATL) – US Accounting to join our team on a remote basis. As an ATL, you will oversee day-to-day accounting operations for US clients, ensuring accurate financial reporting, compliance with accounting standards, and timely completion of tasks. You will work closely with the team and report directly to senior management.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and support the accounting team in managing client accounts and ensuring timely delivery of accounting reports.
- Prepare, review, and reconcile financial statements (Balance Sheets, P&L, etc.) for US clients.
- Review and approve journal entries, bank reconciliations, and other routine accounting activities.
- Manage and track all accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) functions. Coordinate and ensure the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports. Assist in month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring accuracy and compliance with US GAAP.
- Oversee and review tax filings, including sales tax, payroll taxes, and other related returns for US clients. Liaise with external auditors and tax professionals to support audits and tax filings.
- Implement and improve accounting processes, ensuring efficiency, compliance, and consistency.
- Train, guide, and mentor junior team members to enhance their skills and knowledge.
- Address and resolve client queries promptly and effectively.
