Role Overview
The Lead Design Engineer is responsible for the end-to-end technical ownership of mechanical designs. You will ensure that HVAC, water, and air solutions are technically robust, standardized, cost-optimized, and ready for execution. This senior role involves representing the organization in technical engagements with international clients and leading in-depth seminars to reinforce the company’s position as a globally competent organization.

Core Responsibilities
1. Design Ownership & SOP Compliance
Own design deliverables from concept to IFC as per design SOPs.
Ensure compliance with design checklists, review cycles, and approvals.
Act as the final technical authority before release to projects and execution.
Deliver constructible, serviceable, and lifecycle-optimized designs.
2. System Engineering & Design Excellence
Lead the design of HVAC, water treatment, pumps, valves, heat exchangers, AHUs, FCUs, TES, and allied systems.
Perform heat load, thermodynamic, and piping calculations.
Apply strong fundamentals of thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, heat transfer, and metallurgy.
3. Piping Design & Material Selection
Own piping philosophy, including sizing, routing, and material selection.
Evaluate pressure, temperature, corrosion, and fluid compatibility.
Ensure alignment with site constraints, safety, operability, and maintenance access.
4. Cross-Functional Coordination & Communication
Align design intent with Sales, Projects, Procurement, and Site teams.
Lead consultant meetings, client discussions, and design presentations.
Deliver technical seminars, workshops, and training (internal and external).
Coordinate with vendors and global OEMs for approvals.
5. Team Guidance & Quality Control
Guide and mentor Design Engineers and Senior Engineers.
Identify design risks and propose mitigation strategies.
Lead value engineering efforts without compromising performance.
Prepare and review calculations, specifications, BOQs, BOMs, and IFC drawings.
Key Qualifications & Preferences
Educational Background
B.E. / B.Tech / M.E. / M.Tech in Mechanical Engineering.
Technical Expertise
Strong Command: Thermodynamics, Heat Transfer, Fluid Mechanics, and Metallurgy.
Software Proficiency: AutoCAD / SolidWorks / Creo or equivalent CAD tools.
Preferred: Exposure to CFD / FEA tools.
Location & Age Preferences
Residence: Candidates residing in or around Dwarka, West Delhi, or Gurugram are preferred for ease of coordination.
Seniority: Candidates aged 40 years and above are preferred, reflecting the maturity and leadership required for this role.
Pay: ₹1,898,749.45 - ₹2,072,733.80 per year
