ABOUT THE ROLE
We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Accountant to join our growing finance team in
Kochi. This is an excellent opportunity for a high-achieving finance graduate to build a strong foundation in
professional accounting, working alongside experienced colleagues in a dynamic and supportive environment.
You will play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records, supporting month-end processes, and
contributing to the financial health and transparency of our organisation.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records including ledgers, journals, and reconciliations
- Process accounts payable and receivable transactions in a timely and accurate manner
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities
- Prepare bank reconciliation statements and resolve discrepancies
- Generate and review financial reports, statements, and summaries
- Support GST, TDS, and other statutory compliance requirements
- Assist in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts
- Maintain and update records within accounting software (Zoho Books, Xero, or QuickBooks)
- Liaise with internal teams and external auditors as required
- Perform data entry and ensure data integrity across financial systems
- Assist in ad hoc financial analysis and reporting as directed by the Finance Manager
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
Educational Requirements
Preferred Qualification:
M.Com (Master of Commerce) or MBA (Master of Business Administration) in Finance
Detailed Eligibility Criteria:
Candidates must have completed B.Com (Bachelor of Commerce) with a minimum aggregate of 80%,
and
Must have completed either:
o M.Com (Master of Commerce) with a minimum aggregate of 80%, or
o MBA (Master of Business Administration) in Finance with a minimum aggregate of 80%.
Candidates should have at least 1 year of relevant accounting experience.
Required Skills & Competencies:
- Proficiency in at least one accounting platform: Zoho Books, Xero, or QuickBooks — hands-on
experience is essential
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, PivotTables, financial formulas, data
formatting)
- Solid understanding of accounting principles (double-entry bookkeeping, accruals, reconciliations)
- Familiarity with Indian statutory requirements: GST, TDS, PF/ESI
- Proficiency across the Microsoft Office suite (Word, Outlook, PowerPoint)
- High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
- Strong analytical and numerical reasoning ability
- Good written and verbal communication skills in English
PREFERRED ATTRIBUTES
- Experience working in a professional services, technology, or commercial environment
- Exposure to ERP systems or multi-currency accounting
- Pursuing or interested in CA Inter, CMA, ACCA, or equivalent professional qualification
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
