A Mechanical Service Engineer is responsible for installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of mechanical equipment at client sites or factories, ensuring smooth and safe operation.
Key Responsibilities
- Installation & commissioning of mechanical machines/equipment
- Preventive & breakdown maintenance
- Diagnosing mechanical faults and troubleshooting issues
- Attending on-site service calls and emergency repairs
- Preparing service reports and documentation
- Coordinating with production, sales, and spare parts teams
- Ensuring safety standards and SOP compliance
- Providing technical support and basic training to operators
Skills & Knowledge Required
- Strong knowledge of mechanical systems (gearboxes, motor, pumps, hydraulics, pneumatics & Machinery )
- Hands-on experience with machine installation, alignment, calibration, and troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with PLCs, Pumps, Compressor & Vacuum Pumps, pneumatics, and industrial automation is a strong advantage
- Ability to read engineering drawings & manuals
- Hands-on troubleshooting skills
- Basic electrical knowledge (added advantage)
- Good communication & customer handling skills
- Willingness to travel / field work
Qualification
- Diploma / BE / BTech in Mechanical Engineering
