Roles & Responsibilities:
· Identify, evaluate, and develop new vendors based on quality, cost, delivery, and reliability parameters.
· Develop strong relationships with vendors to ensure long-term partnerships and supply stability.
· Coordinate with internal departments (Design, Purchase, Quality, Production) to understand sourcing requirements.
· Obtain and evaluate quotations, negotiate pricing, and finalize procurement contracts.
· Monitor vendor performance regularly and implement corrective actions for any deviations.
· Ensure timely procurement of components, materials, or outsourced parts required for manufacturing.
· Conduct supplier audits and visits to assess manufacturing capabilities and capacity.
· Maintain an updated Approved Vendor List (AVL) and related documentation.
· Work closely with the quality team to resolve supplier quality issues and ensure compliance.
· Assist in cost-saving initiatives and alternative sourcing strategies.
Candidate Profile:
· Good understanding of manufacturing processes, materials, machining, fabrication, and assembly.
· Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
· Strong analytical skills and ability to manage multiple vendors.
· Proficient in MS Office, ERP software (SAP / Tally / any preferred system).
· Ability to travel for vendor assessments and development activities.
· Self-driven, proactive, and capable of working under minimal supervision.
