Job Summary: We are looking for a skilled Lathe Machine Operator to join our team at Metalab Analytical Pvt. Ltd. configuration. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating lathe machines to cut, turn, and finish metal specimens according to standard testing requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate and set up lathe machines for metal cutting, turning, facing, drilling, and finishing operations.
- Prepare metal samples and specimens as per standard testing dimensions and requirements.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, technical instructions, and measurement specifications.
- Use precision measuring tools such as Vernier calipers, micrometers, and gauges to ensure accuracy.
- Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of machines to ensure smooth operation.
- Maintain safety standards and follow workshop protocols at all times.
- Assist in improving machining processes for efficiency and accuracy.
Requirements:
- ITI / Diploma in Fitter, Turner, Machinist, or a relevant field.
- Minimum 1 to 2 years of hands-on experience operating lathe machines.
- Strong knowledge of machining tools, metal cutting, and turning operations.
- Ability to read and understand engineering drawings.
- High attention to detail and a strong commitment to quality.
- Strict adherence to workshop safety and discipline.
