We are hiring a Finance Systems Architect (NetSuite) to play a critical role in shaping and governing the organisation’s business systems landscape. This role sits at the intersection of architecture, integration, and business systems strategy, with a strong focus on NetSuite as the core ERP platform.
You will act as the technical authority for NetSuite and related systems, ensuring scalable, secure, and well-architected solutions across a growing global ecosystem.
Role Overview
This is a high-impact role responsible for:
- Owning NetSuite technical architecture
- Designing cross-system integrations
- Governing system changes and enhancements
- Ensuring long-term scalability and stability of business systems.
You will work closely with business stakeholders, IT teams, and leadership to deliver end-to-end system solutions aligned with organizational goals.
Architecture & System Design
- Own and evolve the technical architecture of NetSuite and connected business systems
- Design end-to-end solutions considering cross-system dependencies and data flows
- Ensure all customizations, scripts, and configurations follow best practices.
Integrations & Ecosystem
- Lead design and implementation of NetSuite integrations using:
SuiteTalk, RESTlets, APIs
- Work across systems including CRM, HR platforms, and data systems
- Collaborate on integrations built on platforms such as Azure and reporting tools like Power BI.
NetSuite Technical Leadership
- Act as the subject matter expert for:
- SuiteScript (1.0 & 2.x)
- Workflows (SuiteFlow)
- Custom records, roles, and configurations
- Define and enforce development standards, coding practices, and governance
Governance & Change Management
- Participate in change request triage and governance processes
- Evaluate business requirements, risks, and cross-system impact
- Review and approve technical and functional designs (TDDs, FDDs)
Stakeholder Management
- Partner with Finance, Operations, Commercial, and IT teams
- Translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions
- Challenge assumptions and guide decision-making with architectural insights
Continuous Improvement
- Evaluate new NetSuite features and platform enhancements
- Identify opportunities to optimise system usage and reduce customisation
- Support strategic initiatives such as new system onboarding and subsidiary integration
Mentorship & Quality Assurance
- Guide developers and analysts on best practices and solution design
- Ensure consistency, quality, and maintainability across all system developments
- Maintain strong documentation standards including technical designs and release notes
5+ years of hands-on NetSuite experience (technical focus)
- Strong expertise in:
- SuiteScript (1.0 & 2.x)
- RESTlets, SuiteTalk, API integrations
- SuiteFlow workflows
- Proven experience designing NetSuite integrations with external systems
- Strong understanding of system architecture and cross-platform dependencies
- Experience defining development standards and governance frameworks
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills
