JOB OVERVIEW
Talati & Partners LLP is looking for an experienced and creative Architect with a minimum of 4 years of professional experience in residential and commercial architectural design.
The ideal candidate should have strong design and technical skills, along with the ability to manage projects from concept development through design documentation and construction coordination.
The Architect will work closely with clients, consultants, engineers, interior designers, contractors, and project teams to deliver functional, aesthetically strong, and technically sound architectural solutions.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES1. Architectural Design & Concept Development
- Understand client requirements, project briefs, site conditions, budgets, and design objectives.
- Develop conceptual designs, sketches, architectural plans, elevations, sections, and design proposals.
- Develop innovative and practical architectural solutions for residential and commercial projects.
- Prepare design presentations, 3D models, and architectural visualizations.
- Ensure design concepts are aligned with project requirements and architectural standards.
- Incorporate sustainability, energy efficiency, and environmental considerations where appropriate.
2. Design Development & Documentation
- Develop architectural designs from concept stage through detailed design and construction documentation.
- Prepare detailed architectural drawings, working drawings, specifications, and schedules.
- Coordinate architectural drawings with structural, MEP, landscape, interior, and other consultants.
- Ensure drawings are accurate, coordinated, and suitable for execution.
- Review drawings and incorporate necessary design modifications.
3. Client Coordination
- Communicate regularly with clients to understand requirements and provide project updates.
- Present design concepts, drawings, 3D views, and proposals to clients.
- Understand and incorporate client feedback while maintaining the overall design intent.
- Participate in client meetings, design reviews, and project discussions.
- Build and maintain professional relationships with clients and project stakeholders.
4. Project & Consultant Coordination
- Coordinate with structural engineers, MEP consultants, interior designers, landscape consultants, contractors, and vendors.
- Ensure smooth integration of various project components.
- Participate in coordination meetings and resolve design-related issues.
- Track design deliverables and ensure timely completion of project milestones.
- Assist in maintaining project timelines and documentation.
5. Site Coordination & Construction Oversight
- Conduct regular site visits to monitor construction progress and implementation of architectural designs.
- Review workmanship and ensure construction follows approved drawings and specifications.
- Address design-related queries and site issues in coordination with project teams.
- Review shop drawings, samples, materials, and mock-ups where required.
- Identify discrepancies between drawings and site execution and provide appropriate design solutions.
6. Research & Design Innovation
- Stay updated with current architectural trends, materials, technologies, and construction practices.
- Research innovative materials, design techniques, and sustainable solutions.
- Explore new approaches to improve functionality, aesthetics, and project outcomes.
- Apply creative problem-solving to architectural and technical challenges.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture (B.Arch / M.Arch) from a recognized institution.
- Minimum 4 years of professional experience in architectural design.
- Strong experience in residential and commercial architectural projects.
- Previous experience working with an architectural firm or design consultancy preferred.
- Professional registration/licensure will be an added advantage.
- Strong understanding of architectural design principles and construction practices.
- Good knowledge of building codes, regulations, zoning requirements, and construction standards.
SOFTWARE SKILLS
Proficiency in relevant architectural software such as:
AutoCAD | Revit | SketchUp | 3D Visualization Software | Adobe Photoshop | Adobe Illustrator | MS Office
