Job Description
The pattern master will be responsible for supervising and guiding the stitching team within the hand embroidery unit. The ideal candidate will have strong industry knowledge, excellent negotiation skills, and the ability to manage end-to-end merchandising operations while ensuring timely delivery and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervision & Workflow
- Lead and manage stitching staff, assigning tasks based on skill and complexity.
- Monitor daily stitching operations to ensure efficiency and accuracy.
- Ensure timely completion of stitching work in line with production schedules.
- Technical Expertise
- Provide hands-on guidance on stitching techniques, finishing methods, and garment assembly.
- Resolve technical issues and support artisans in achieving neatness and durability.
- Suggest improvements in stitching processes for better productivity and quality.
- Quality Control
- Inspect stitched pieces to ensure proper finishing and strength.
- Identify defects and implement corrective measures immediately.
- Maintain high standards of craftsmanship and client satisfaction.
- Coordination
- Work closely with embroidery supervisors and production managers to align stitching with overall production requirements.
- Ensure smooth handover of stitched pieces for finishing, packing, or dispatch.
- Training & Development
- Train stitching staff in advanced techniques and finishing methods.
- Resource Management
- Ensure proper usage of threads, needles, fabrics, and other stitching materials.
- Minimize wastage and maintain discipline in resource handling.
Requirements
- 7–8 years of experience in merchandising, preferably in textiles, or embroidery manufacturing.
· Strong knowledge of garment stitching and finishing techniques.
· Ability to supervise and train stitching staff effectively.
· Keen eye for detail, accuracy, and finishing quality.
· Good communication and coordination skills.
