About the Role
We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to manage and coordinate accounting activities for our Dubai and India operations. The role will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, cross-checking accounts between both countries, reconciliations, reporting, and ensuring that financial transactions are properly recorded and supported by documentation.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day accounting activities for Dubai and India operations.
- Maintain accurate books of accounts, ledgers, invoices, payments, and receipts.
- Perform cross-checking and reconciliation of Dubai and India accounts.
- Verify inter-company transactions and ensure balances are accurately matched.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
- Perform bank, cash, customer, supplier, and ledger reconciliations.
- Review accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions.
- Monitor outstanding payments and receivables.
- Verify invoices, expenses, supporting documents, and payment records.
- Identify and resolve accounting discrepancies and mismatches.
- Assist with budgeting, cash-flow monitoring, and financial analysis.
- Coordinate with management, auditors, banks, suppliers, and other relevant parties.
- Ensure proper documentation and filing of financial records.
- Support audit and compliance requirements for both Dubai and India operations.
- Ensure accounting entries are accurate, complete, and recorded on time.
- Maintain confidentiality of company financial information.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field.
- 3–5+ years of experience in accounting; senior-level experience preferred.
- Strong experience handling UAE/Dubai and India accounting.
- Experience in cross-checking and reconciliation between UAE and India accounts.
- Good knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
- Knowledge of VAT and basic UAE/India tax compliance is an advantage.
- Experience with accounting software such as Tally, Zoho Books, QuickBooks, or ERP systems.
- Strong Excel/Microsoft Office skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills.
- Ability to identify discrepancies and resolve accounting issues.
- Good communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
