We are looking for a Creative Strategist for Root Labs (Mosaic Wellness’ US business) to build the creative engine for this brand. Working with Brand, Category, Creator and Performance Marketing, you will turn consumer insight and business priorities into narratives, concepts, hooks, scripts, formats and execution briefs that work across paid media, creator content and owned channels.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Consumer Insight & Creative Architecture
- Turn consumer interviews, reviews, comments, social listening, competitor content and performance data into clear creative hypotheses
- Build the creative architecture for each major consumer problem: Insight Narrative Angle Format Hook Script Execution
- Develop repeatable creative territories, hook families, formats, creator briefs, visual references and CTA approaches—not isolated one-off ads
- Own the pipeline of genuinely new concepts, spotting fatigue early and preventing the team from producing endless minor variations of yesterday’s winner
Concept Development, Execution & Learning
- Write and improve high-priority scripts for performance ads, UGC, expert content, creator-led formats and product education
- Partner with the Creator team on creator archetypes, brief fit and execution—knowing when authenticity needs freedom and when performance content needs tighter control
- Use Hook, Hold, CTR, CVR, CAC and Spend to diagnose why creative worked or failed, then turn that learning into the next test
- Build a creative learning system that compounds winning and losing narratives, hooks, formats, creator patterns, consumer objections and execution lessons over time
WHO YOU ARE
- Consumer-obsessed. You spend time in interviews, reviews, comments, creator content and competitor feeds—not just decks. You notice the language people use and the beliefs beneath it
- Strategic and hands-on. You can frame a consumer problem, write the hook, improve the script and explain what the execution needs to do differently
- Opinionated but not precious. You have strong taste and can defend a direction, but you are willing to kill your own idea when the consumer or the data disagrees
- Highly iterative. You are energized by Create Test Learn Iterate. You move fast, look for signal and avoid confusing activity with learning
- A systems thinker. You build repeatable narratives, formats, briefs and learning loops that make the whole team better, rather than solving one creative at a time
- An owner. You seek context, create clarity from ambiguity and take responsibility for outcomes across the full creative loop—not only the quality of your own deliverables
WHAT THIS ROLE IS NOT
This is not a social media management role, a content-calendar role or a pure copywriting role. You will not be a production manager, media buyer or influencer relationship manager, and you will not sit downstream waiting for perfect briefs. You will work across teams, ship at a fast testing cadence and see ideas you love challenged by consumer response and performance data. In exchange, you get to build the creative operating system of a new US consumer brand from the ground up—and help answer not just “what should we make?” but “what should we learn next?”
IDEAL CANDIDATE PROFILE
- 5+ years across creative strategy, direct-response content, copywriting or adjacent creative roles
- Portfolio is essential, and it should demonstrate thinking as well as output: the consumer problem, insight, creative hypothesis, iterations, performance learning and what you made next
- Portfolio should show strength in video storytelling, creator formats, hooks, scripts and performance creative—not only polished campaign films
- Experience with consumer brands, start-ups, or fast-moving product environments is strongly preferred; building a brand or creative function from the ground up is a strong advantage
- Comfortable reading creative-performance signals and distinguishing an insight problem from a hook, execution, audience or fatigue problem
- AI-native: comfortable using AI for research, ideation, scripting and creative workflows without outsourcing your judgment or taste
- Experience in health, wellness or US consumer markets is a plus
