Job Summary:
The Hospital Purchase Manager oversees the procurement of medical and non-medical supplies, equipment, and services. The role ensures cost-effective purchasing, maintains quality standards, and guarantees timely availability of materials to support patient care and hospital operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement purchasing strategies aligned with hospital needs and budget
- Source and evaluate vendors for medical equipment, pharmaceuticals, and general supplies
- Negotiate contracts, pricing, and delivery terms with suppliers
- Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and procurement policies
- Maintain inventory levels and coordinate with departments to forecast requirements
- Monitor supplier performance and resolve issues related to quality or delays
- Prepare purchase orders and track deliveries
- Collaborate with finance for budgeting and cost control
- Maintain accurate procurement records and documentation
- Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality

- Knowledge of medical supplies and equipment procurement processes
- Strong negotiation and vendor management skills
- Familiarity with inventory management systems and ERP software
