About the Role
We are looking for an experienced SAP IS-U Utilities & Billing Lead Consultant with 8–10 years of SAP experience and strong hands-on expertise in SAP IS-U Billing, Invoicing, SAP SD, and SAP FI-CA.
The consultant will be responsible for leading functional activities across SAP IS-U billing and invoicing processes, working closely with business stakeholders, technical teams, and other SAP functional teams to deliver scalable and reliable solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Lead functional activities for SAP IS-U Billing and Invoicing implementations, enhancements, and support projects.
Analyze business requirements and translate them into appropriate SAP IS-U solutions.
Configure and support SAP IS-U Billing processes based on business requirements.
Handle end-to-end billing and invoicing processes within SAP IS-U.
Work extensively with SAP FI-CA (Contract Accounts Receivable and Payable) integration and processes.
Understand and manage integration between SAP IS-U, SAP SD, and FI-CA.
Work on billing-related business processes including billing runs, billing documents, invoicing, reversals, corrections, and exception handling.
Analyze functional issues and provide appropriate solutions within agreed SLAs.
Prepare functional specifications and coordinate with ABAP/technical teams for developments and enhancements.
Perform configuration, testing, defect analysis, and production support activities.
Lead requirement gathering sessions and discussions with business stakeholders.
Coordinate with cross-functional SAP teams including SD, FI-CA, and ABAP.
Support SIT, UAT, regression testing, and production deployment activities.
Review existing processes and recommend improvements to enhance billing efficiency and system performance.
Provide functional guidance to junior consultants and act as a subject matter expert for SAP IS-U Billing.
Participate in solution design, estimation, planning, and delivery activities.
Ensure project deliverables meet quality, timeline, and business requirements.

Candidate Profile
8–10 years of overall SAP experience.
Strong hands-on experience in SAP IS-U Billing.
Good experience in SAP IS-U Invoicing processes.
Strong understanding of SAP FI-CA.
Good working knowledge of SAP SD and its integration with IS-U.
Experience in end-to-end SAP IS-U implementation, enhancement, or support projects.
Ability to independently handle functional requirements and client discussions.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Good communication and stakeholder-management skills.
Experience in leading functional activities or mentoring junior consultants will be an advantage.
Utilities / Energy domain experience is highly preferred.
