Position Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Operations Manager – Resorts & Hotels to lead the overall operations of our hospitality business. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving operational excellence, enhancing guest satisfaction, maximizing profitability, and ensuring the highest standards of service across all resort and hotel operations.
The ideal candidate should possess strong leadership capabilities, extensive experience in hospitality operations, and a proven track record of managing financial performance, operational efficiency, and large multidisciplinary teams.
Key Responsibilities
Business & Financial Management
- Own the overall Profit & Loss (P&L) of the assigned resort(s) and hotel operations, ensuring revenue growth and profitability.
- Develop and execute operational strategies aligned with the organization's business objectives.
- Prepare and manage annual budgets, operating plans, forecasts, and capital expenditure proposals.
- Monitor financial performance through key performance indicators and implement corrective actions where required.
- Drive revenue optimization while maintaining cost efficiency and service quality.
- Identify new business opportunities and operational improvements to enhance profitability.
Operations Management
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of all departments, including Front Office, Housekeeping, Food & Beverage, Engineering, Maintenance, Security, Recreation, and Guest Services.
- Ensure smooth and efficient functioning of all operational areas while maintaining exceptional service standards.
- Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) and operational best practices.
- Ensure optimum utilization of manpower, infrastructure, and other organizational resources.
- Monitor operational performance through regular reviews and continuous improvement initiatives.
Guest Experience
- Foster a guest-centric culture focused on delivering exceptional hospitality experiences.
- Monitor guest feedback, online reviews, and satisfaction metrics, ensuring timely resolution of concerns.
- Implement initiatives to improve guest engagement, loyalty, and repeat business.
- Maintain the highest standards of cleanliness, safety, comfort, and service delivery.
- People Management
- Lead, mentor, and develop department heads and operational teams.
- Drive employee engagement, performance management, succession planning, and talent development.
- Ensure adequate staffing levels through workforce planning and effective resource allocation.
- Promote a culture of accountability, collaboration, professionalism, and continuous improvement.
Compliance & Quality Assurance
- Ensure compliance with all statutory, legal, health, safety, fire, environmental, and hospitality regulations.
- Maintain quality standards in accordance with company policies and industry best practices.
- Coordinate internal and external audits and ensure timely implementation of corrective actions.
- Oversee risk management initiatives and business continuity planning.
Vendor & Stakeholder Management
- Manage relationships with vendors, contractors, travel partners, government authorities, and other stakeholders.
- Negotiate service agreements and monitor vendor performance to ensure value and quality.
- Coordinate with corporate leadership on strategic initiatives and business performance.
Strategic Planning
- Participate in long-term business planning, expansion initiatives, and new project development.
- Evaluate operational trends and recommend strategies to improve occupancy, guest satisfaction, and profitability.
- Prepare and present operational and financial reports to senior management.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Hotel Management, Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
- A postgraduate qualification such as an MBA or Master's in Hospitality Management will be an added advantage.
Experience
- Minimum 15 years of progressive experience in the hospitality industry.
- At least 10 years of experience in a managerial or leadership capacity overseeing resort and/or hotel operations.
- Demonstrated experience in independently managing Profit & Loss (P&L), budgeting, financial planning, and operational performance.
- Experience managing luxury resorts, premium hotels, hospitality chains, or multi-property operations will be highly preferred.
Pay: ₹80,000.00 - ₹100,000.00 per month
