Job Summary:
The Cashier cum Billing Executive is responsible for handling customer billing, cash transactions, digital payments, and providing excellent customer service at the outlet. The role includes accurate invoicing, maintaining billing records, supporting sales activities, and ensuring smooth day-to-day front-end operations.
Key Responsibilities:Billing & Cash Handling
- Generate accurate bills using POS (Point of Sale) software.
- Receive payments through cash, UPI, debit/credit cards, and other digital payment methods.
- Verify prices, discounts, offers, and promotional schemes before billing.
- Ensure proper handling of cash and maintain adequate change.
- Perform daily cash reconciliation and submit reports to the Outlet Manager.
- Handle customer returns, exchanges, and billing corrections as per company policy.
Customer Service
- Greet customers and assist them in their purchase decisions.
- Answer customer queries regarding products, prices, and offers.
- Maintain a professional, friendly, and courteous approach with customers.
- Resolve customer complaints and escalate issues when necessary.
Sales Support
- Support the sales team during peak hours.
- Promote new products, festive specials, and combo offers.
- Cross-sell and upsell products to increase sales.
Inventory & Store Coordination
- Coordinate with the production and sales team regarding product availability.
- Inform the manager about low-stock items.
- Assist in maintaining product displays and cleanliness around the billing counter.
Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain daily sales records and transaction reports.
- Ensure all invoices, receipts, and supporting documents are properly filed.
- Support audit requirements by providing accurate records.
Housekeeping & Compliance
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene at the billing counter.
- Follow company SOPs, food safety, and operational procedures.
- Ensure confidentiality of company and customer information.
Required Qualifications:
- Any Degree / Diploma / Higher Secondary (12th Pass).
- 1–3 years of experience in cashier, billing, or retail operations (preferably in sweets, bakery, restaurant, or food retail industry).
- Freshers with good communication skills may also be considered.
Required Skills:
- Knowledge of POS billing systems.
- Basic computer proficiency (MS Excel, MS Word, email).
- Good numerical and cash handling skills.
- Customer service orientation.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work in shifts, weekends, and festive seasons.
