An Audit Manager is a mid-to-senior-level professional responsible for planning, supervising, and reviewing audits to ensure that an organization's financial records, operations, and controls comply with applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage internal or external audit engagements.
- Develop audit plans, schedules, and risk assessments.
- Review financial statements, accounting records, and operational processes.
- Evaluate internal controls and identify weaknesses.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory and industry requirements.
- Supervise and mentor audit staff and senior auditors.
- Discuss findings with management and recommend improvements.
- Prepare and present audit reports to senior leadership, audit committees, or clients.
- Follow up on corrective actions taken in response to audit findings.

Typical Experience
- Usually 5–10+ years of experience in auditing, accounting, risk management, or compliance.
- Prior experience as an Audit Senior, Senior Auditor, or Assistant Audit Manager is often required.
