Position: Deputy Manager/Manager – Facilities

Location: Site / Field-Based (Operations Driven)
Role Purpose
To manage and maintain physical workplace infrastructure across site locations, ensuring uninterrupted operations, safety compliance, asset protection, and optimal workplace functionality. The role is field-intensive and focused on maintenance, utilities, security, housekeeping, transport, and vendor supervision.
Key Responsibilities
1. Infrastructure & Maintenance Management
- Oversee preventive and breakdown maintenance of buildings, civil structures, and utilities.
- Ensure smooth functioning of electrical systems, DG sets, HVAC, plumbing, fire systems, and water supply.
- Monitor infrastructure uptime and minimize operational disruptions.
- Coordinate emergency repairs and breakdown resolutions.
2. Safety & Compliance Management
- Ensure adherence to statutory safety norms and facility compliance standards.
- Conduct periodic safety inspections and risk assessments.
- Monitor fire safety systems and emergency preparedness.
- Maintain compliance records related to building safety and utilities.
3. Security Management
- Supervise security operations including access control and surveillance systems.
- Coordinate with security agencies to ensure 24/7 site protection.
- Investigate incidents related to safety or asset security.
4. Housekeeping & Workplace Hygiene
- Ensure high standards of cleanliness and hygiene across the workplace.
- Supervise housekeeping staff and vendors.
- Implement cleanliness audits and corrective measures.
5. Utilities & Transport Management
- Manage electricity, water, fuel, and other essential utilities.
- Monitor utility consumption and implement cost optimization measures.
- Oversee transport operations for employees and site logistics.
6. Asset & Space Management
- Maintain asset register and monitor asset lifecycle.
- Ensure proper tagging, tracking, and disposal of assets.
- Plan and manage space allocation and workplace layout optimization.
7. Vendor Management
- Identify, onboard, and supervise facility-related vendors.
- Monitor vendor performance through SLAs and KPIs.
- Validate invoices and ensure cost control.
8. Budget & Cost Control
- Prepare facility budgets and monitor expenditures.
- Identify cost-saving initiatives without compromising quality and safety.
9. Reporting & Documentation
- Maintain records of maintenance schedules, inspections, and breakdown logs.
- Prepare MIS reports on uptime, safety incidents, and facility performance.
- Ensure documentation for audits and internal reviews.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree / Diploma in Engineering (Electrical / Mechanical / Civil) preferred
- 5–10 years of experience in facilities management (for Assistant/Deputy Manager level)
- Experience in field-based, operations-driven environments (EPC / Industrial / Manufacturing preferred)
