Job Summary
We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented GeM Executive to manage the company's activities on the Government e-Marketplace (GeM) portal. The candidate will be responsible for handling GeM registrations, bid management, tender participation, catalog management, documentation, order processing, and coordination with internal teams to ensure timely and compliant execution of government orders.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the company's GeM portal account and ensure all information remains updated.
- Search, evaluate, and participate in relevant GeM bids and tenders.
- Prepare and submit technical and commercial bid documents within deadlines.
- Upload and maintain product/service catalogs on the GeM portal.
- Coordinate with the Sales, Estimation, Projects, and Accounts teams for quotations and documentation.
- Track bid status, reverse auctions, purchase orders, and contract execution.
- Handle order acceptance, invoicing, payment tracking, and completion of GeM transactions.
- Ensure compliance with GeM guidelines and government procurement policies.
- Maintain records of bids, orders, correspondence, and MIS reports.
- Build and maintain relationships with government departments and procurement authorities.
- Identify new business opportunities through GeM and other government procurement platforms.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
- Certification or prior experience in GeM operations will be an added advantage.
Experience
- 1–3 years of experience handling the GeM Portal.
- Experience in HVAC, MEP, EPC, Electrical, Mechanical, or Government Tendering is preferred.
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of the Government e-Marketplace (GeM) portal.
- Understanding of government procurement procedures and tender documentation.
- Knowledge of bid preparation and reverse auctions.
- Excellent documentation and communication skills.
- Good analytical and negotiation abilities.
- Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and PDF documentation.
- Ability to manage multiple tenders simultaneously and meet strict deadlines.
