Job Summary
The Site Engineer is responsible for supervising day-to-day site activities, coordinating with contractors and workforce, ensuring timely procurement of materials, maintaining measurement and documentation records, and monitoring project progress to ensure work is completed within quality standards, timelines, and budget.
Key Responsibilities
1. Site Supervision & Coordination
- Supervise daily site activities and ensure smooth project execution.
- Coordinate with site workers, subcontractors, and vendors.
- Allocate and delegate tasks effectively to the workforce.
- Monitor site safety practices and ensure compliance with company standards.
- Ensure proper utilization of manpower and resources.
2. Contractor Coordination
- Coordinate with contractors to ensure work is executed as per schedule.
- Monitor contractor performance and quality of work.
- Resolve contractor-related issues and operational challenges promptly.
- Ensure all site activities comply with approved drawings and specifications.
- Conduct regular site inspections and progress reviews.
3. Material Planning & Procurement
- Plan and raise material requirements based on project needs.
- Ensure timely procurement of materials within approved budget limits.
- Verify the quality and quantity of incoming materials.
- Monitor material usage and minimize wastage.
- Coordinate with suppliers and stores for uninterrupted site activities.
4. Measurement & Documentation
- Prepare and submit measurement sheets accurately and on time.
- Maintain proper documentation of site measurements and work records.
- Ensure error-free preparation of reports and quantity details.
- Maintain daily site reports, work progress records, and attendance logs.
- Assist in billing and project documentation processes.
5. Work Progress Monitoring & Reporting
- Track project progress against timelines and deadlines.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports.
- Report project updates and issues to the Project Manager.
- Identify delays and suggest corrective actions.
- Ensure completion of work as per project schedules and quality standards.
Required Qualifications
- Diploma / Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
- 2–5 years of experience in construction/site supervision preferred.
Pay: ₹300,000.00 - ₹450,000.00 per year
