Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Fire Fighting Site Engineer to oversee the installation, testing, commissioning, inspection, and maintenance of fire protection systems at project sites. The ideal candidate will ensure all fire protection systems are installed in accordance with project specifications, local authority requirements, and international standards such as NFPA, BS, and FM.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise the installation, testing, and commissioning of fire protection systems, including:
- Fire Alarm Systems
- Automatic Sprinkler Systems
- Fire Hydrant Systems
- Fire Suppression Systems (FM-200, CO₂, Novec 1230, etc.)
- Fire Pumps and Pump Rooms
- Ensure compliance with NFPA, BS, local fire codes, and project specifications.
- Conduct site inspections, quality checks, and testing of installed systems.
- Coordinate with MEP, Civil, Electrical, HVAC teams, consultants, and subcontractors for smooth project execution.
- Review shop drawings, method statements, material submittals, and technical specifications.
- Prepare and maintain inspection reports, test certificates, as-built drawings, and project documentation.
- Identify fire safety risks and recommend corrective and preventive actions.
- Attend project meetings and coordinate with clients, consultants, and local fire authorities.
- Supervise technicians and subcontractors to ensure quality workmanship and adherence to safety standards.
- Monitor project progress and ensure timely completion of fire protection system milestones.
- Ensure compliance with company HSE policies and site safety procedures.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Fire Engineering, or a related discipline.
- 2–8 years of experience in Fire Fighting/Fire Protection systems.
- Knowledge of NFPA, BS, FM Global, and local fire regulations.
- Experience with Fire Alarm, Sprinkler, Hydrant, and Suppression systems.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical documents.
- Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
