Job Summary
We are looking for a compassionate and skilled Psychology Counsellor to join our team at Sukhmani Diagnocare. The ideal candidate will provide psychological support, counselling sessions, assessments, and guidance to patients while maintaining a high level of professionalism, empathy, and confidentiality.
Key ResponsibilitiesCounselling & Patient Support
- Provide one‑to‑one counselling sessions to patients
- Assess emotional, behavioural, and psychological needs
- Create individualized care or support plans
- Offer guidance related to stress, anxiety, depression, trauma, and other concerns
- Maintain patient confidentiality and ethical counselling standards
Assessments & Reporting
- Conduct psychological assessments and basic screenings
- Maintain accurate counselling records and documentation
- Provide case notes and reports to management when required
- Track progress and plan follow‑up sessions
Collaboration & Communication
- Coordinate with doctors, nurses, and other departments when needed
- Educate and support families regarding patient mental well‑being
- Participate in awareness and wellness programs within the organization
Professional Conduct
- Maintain a calm, patient‑centric approach
- Uphold strict confidentiality protocols
- Keep updated with counselling practices, techniques, and psychology ethics
Required Qualifications
- Master’s/Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Clinical Psychology, Counselling Psychology, or related field
- Strong communication and listening skills
- Empathetic, patient-oriented approach
- Basic computer skills for documentation
