General Dentist
Job Summary
Safa Elite Care, Pallavaram, is looking for a skilled, responsible, and patient-focused General Dentist to provide comprehensive dental care, including preventive, restorative, endodontic, surgical, and prosthodontic procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Comprehensive dental examination, diagnosis, and treatment planning.
- Scaling, polishing, oral prophylaxis, and oral hygiene instructions.
- Composite and GIC restorations – anterior and posterior.
- Management of dental caries and fractured/defective restorations.
- Simple and routine tooth extractions.
- Management of dental emergencies, pain, swelling, and dental infections.
- Root Canal Treatment (RCT) – anterior and posterior teeth.
- Access opening, cleaning and shaping, obturation, and post-endodontic restoration.
- Crown preparation for anterior and posterior teeth.
- Temporary crown fabrication and placement.
- Crown removal and management of defective or failed crowns.
- Fixed prosthodontic procedures including crowns and bridges.
- Removable prosthodontic procedures including RPD and complete dentures.
- Impression taking, bite registration, try-in, insertion, cementation, and prosthesis adjustments.
- Basic periodontal assessment and management.
- Patient counselling, treatment explanation, informed consent, and follow-up.
- Maintain accurate patient records and treatment documentation.
- Follow strict sterilization, infection-control, and clinical safety protocols.
- Identify complex cases and refer appropriately to specialists.
Required Qualifications
- BDS or equivalent recognized dental qualification.
- Valid dental registration.
- Good clinical and diagnostic skills.
- Ability to independently perform routine general dental procedures.
- Good communication and patient-management skills.
- Professional, ethical, and patient-centred approach.
Preferred Clinical Competencies
The candidate should be confident in independently handling routine scaling, restorations, extractions, anterior and posterior RCTs, crown preparation and removal, fixed and removable prosthodontic procedures, and emergency dental cases, with appropriate referral of complex cases.
