Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and passionate Accounts Executive who is responsible for managing billing operations, proposal preparation, and supporting accounting functions in a well-established trading business dealing with plywood, home and office furniture, and building materials in the Puthiyapalam and Malaparamba areas of Calicut. This role primarily focuses on handling customer proposals, ensuring accurate billing, and closely coordinating with the sales team to streamline order processing and financial transactions. The candidate must ensure accuracy, efficiency, and timely execution of all billing-related activities.

Duties and Responsibilities
* Prepare customer proposals, quotations, and pricing documents based on sales requirements
* Handle end-to-end billing processes and generate accurate invoices using Tally
* Coordinate closely with the sales team for order confirmation, pricing, and billing details
* Verify sales orders and ensure correct product, quantity, and pricing before invoicing
* Maintain proper records of proposals, invoices, and customer transactions
* Manage accounts receivable and follow up on outstanding payments
* Record day-to-day accounting entries related to sales, receipts, and adjustments
* Perform customer ledger reconciliation and ensure accuracy in balances
* Assist in GST-compliant billing and basic data preparation for filings
* Ensure smooth coordination between accounts, sales, and store/operations teams
* Maintain documentation and ensure compliance with internal accounting procedures

Qualifications and Requirements
* Bachelor’s degree in Commerce (B.Com) or equivalent qualification
* Tally experience is mandatory
* Strong understanding of billing processes and basic accounting principles
* Working knowledge of GST and taxation basics
* Proficiency in MS Excel (basic to intermediate level)
* Strong attention to detail and accuracy
* Good communication and interpersonal skills for team coordination

Recruitment and Experience Requirements
* 2 to 6 years of experience in accounting or billing roles
* Experience in the trading, retail, or building materials industry will be an added advantage
* Strong experience in proposal preparation and billing coordination with sales teams
* Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment
* Candidates based in or near Calicut (Puthiyapalam / Malaparamba area) will be preferred
