About the Role
We are looking for a responsible and technically skilled Pellet Plant Operator / Supervisor to manage day-to-day operations of the pellet production plant. The candidate will be responsible for operating pellet machinery, maintaining production quality, reducing breakdowns, supervising workers, and ensuring safe and efficient plant operations.
Key Responsibilities
Pellet Plant Operations
- Operate and monitor pellet mill machines to achieve target production output.
- Ensure proper steam addition and process parameters for high-quality pellet production.
- Check die and roller condition regularly and report wear or abnormalities.
- Monitor hammer mill beaters, sieves, crumble rollers, and related equipment.
- Maintain proper particle size and uniformity of finished pellets.
- Coordinate with quality control team for maintaining product standards.
- Record daily production data, machine readings, and material consumption.
Maintenance & Troubleshooting
- Perform routine preventive maintenance of pellet machinery.
- Identify operational issues and take corrective actions to minimize downtime.
- Ensure smooth operation of motors, conveyors, gearboxes, and pellet equipment.
- Report major mechanical or electrical faults to maintenance team.
Quality & Safety
- Ensure finished products meet required quality standards.
- Maintain cleanliness around machines and production area.
- Follow all plant safety procedures and PPE requirements.
- Ensure proper handling of raw materials and finished goods.
Team Supervision
- Supervise operators and helpers during shift operations.
- Assign daily operational tasks and monitor productivity.
- Train workers on machine operation and safety practices.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- ITI / Diploma / Experience in Mechanical, Production, or related field preferred.
- Experience in pellet plant, feed mill, biomass plant, or manufacturing operations preferred.
- Basic understanding of production processes and machine maintenance.
- Mechanical troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to work in shifts and plant environment.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
Working Conditions
- Industrial plant environment with dust, heat, and machinery noise.
- Standing and physical work may be required during shifts.
Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
