Role Purpose
The Multi Skill Technician (MST) will be responsible for handling day-to-day repair, maintenance, and basic technical requirements across Purplle retail stores within the assigned region.
The role is responsible for ensuring that stores remain safe, functional, well-maintained, and operational with minimum downtime by independently handling routine maintenance and coordinating with external vendors for specialised requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Attend and resolve day-to-day maintenance and repair issues across assigned Purplle retail stores.
- Handle basic electrical, plumbing, carpentry, painting, fixture, furniture, and general civil repair work.
- Conduct regular preventive maintenance and identify potential issues before they become major problems.
- Inspect store infrastructure including:
- Electrical fittings and fixtures
- Plumbing points
- Doors and locks
- Shelves and counters
- Furniture and fixtures
- Walls, ceilings and flooring
- Other store infrastructure
- Support new store openings, store setup, renovation, fixture installation, modification and maintenance activities.
- Troubleshoot common store maintenance issues and complete repairs independently wherever possible.
- Coordinate with external vendors and specialised technicians for jobs requiring additional expertise.
- Ensure maintenance work is completed within defined timelines with minimum disruption to store operations.
- Maintain and manage basic tools, equipment, spare parts and repair materials.
- Track maintenance complaints, completed jobs, pending issues and material requirements.
- Conduct regular visits to assigned stores as per the regional maintenance schedule.
- Ensure all repair and maintenance activities follow Purplle's safety, quality and operational standards.
- Escalate major structural, electrical, civil or technical issues to the Lead – Repair & Maintenance.
- Identify repair-versus-replacement requirements and support cost-effective maintenance solutions.
- Maintain proper records of maintenance activities and store visits.
Required Skills & Competencies
- Hands-on experience in electrical, plumbing, carpentry and general repair/maintenance work.
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve common retail/store maintenance issues independently.
- Basic knowledge of tools, equipment, materials and workplace safety practices.
- Ability to travel across multiple Purplle stores within the assigned region/cluster.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
- Ability to handle multiple maintenance requests and prioritise urgent requirements.
- Practical, problem-solving approach with strong attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and respond quickly to store maintenance requirements.
Preferred Experience
- Prior experience in retail maintenance, commercial maintenance, facility management, mall/store maintenance or similar roles will be preferred.
- Candidates with strong hands-on technical skills in electrical, plumbing, carpentry or general maintenance may also be considered.

Candidate Profile
We are looking for a hands-on, technically skilled and solution-oriented technician who can independently manage routine repair and maintenance requirements across Purplle stores and ensure smooth day-to-day store operations.
