Job Description
We are looking for a highly technical and hands-on Senior AI/ML Tech Lead to drive the design, development, and deployment of advanced Generative AI and Machine Learning applications.
The role combines technical leadership and hands-on engineering, with approximately 40% focused on leading and mentoring the engineering team and 60% on architecture and development.
The ideal candidate should have strong expertise across LLMs, Agentic AI, Advanced RAG, OCR, Python, FastAPI, React, MLOps, and cloud platforms, with proven experience delivering production-grade AI solutions.
Key ResponsibilitiesTechnical Leadership & Team Management
- Lead AI, backend, and full-stack engineering teams.
- Allocate tasks, define sprint priorities, and ensure timely delivery.
- Conduct code reviews and maintain high standards for security, scalability, and performance.
- Design end-to-end architectures integrating frontend, backend, AI models, and enterprise systems.
- Mentor and guide engineers on modern software engineering, LLM development, and agentic AI patterns.
Hands-On AI/ML Engineering
- Architect and develop LLM-powered applications and multi-agent AI workflows.
- Work with frameworks such as LangGraph, LangChain, LlamaIndex, AutoGen, and CrewAI.
- Design and implement advanced RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) architectures.
- Build document processing and OCR pipelines for extracting structured information from unstructured data.
- Work with OCR and document intelligence technologies such as PaddleOCR, Tesseract, LayoutLM, Azure Document Intelligence, and Vision LLMs.
- Develop high-throughput, asynchronous microservices and REST APIs using Python and FastAPI.
- Collaborate on or develop modern web applications using React, TypeScript, and JavaScript.
- Implement prompt engineering, model deployment, fine-tuning, and LLM evaluation.
- Integrate vector databases such as Pinecone, Qdrant, Chroma, and PGVector.
- Support AI workloads across Azure and AWS cloud environments.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 8–10 years of professional software engineering experience.
- Minimum 3–4+ years of hands-on experience in AI/ML, Generative AI, OCR, and production AI solutions.
- Strong experience with commercial and open-source LLMs including:
- OpenAI
- Anthropic Claude
- Llama
- Strong knowledge of agentic AI frameworks:
- LangChain
- LlamaIndex
- LangGraph
- AutoGen
- CrewAI
- Experience with LLM evaluation frameworks such as LangSmith, TruLens, and Ragas.
- Strong understanding of:
- Advanced RAG
- Hybrid search
- Re-ranking
- Chunking strategies
- Vector databases
- Document intelligence
- Hands-on experience with OCR technologies including Tesseract, PaddleOCR, and Azure Document Intelligence.
- Experience working with Multimodal / Vision LLMs.
- Strong expertise in Python, FastAPI, and AsyncIO.
- Working proficiency in React, TypeScript, and JavaScript.
- Hands-on experience with Azure and/or AWS.
- Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with Microsoft Fabric, Snowflake, or Azure SQL.
- Knowledge of LLM cost optimization and latency reduction techniques, including:
- Caching
- Semantic routing
- Model quantization
- Experience in client-facing technical leadership roles.
- Prior experience in agile consulting or technology consulting environments.
