Job Title: Sales Manager
Location: Tamil Nadu, preferably Coimbatore or along the coastal belt
Company Overview: We are a leading TMT (Thermo-Mechanically Treated) rebars manufacturing company committed to delivering high-quality products for the construction industry. As part of our growth strategy, we are seeking a dynamic and experienced Sales Manager to lead our sales operations through the team of sales officers in Tamil Nadu.
Job Summary: The Sales Head will be responsible for overseeing all sales activities, developing sales strategies, and managing a team of sales professionals based at Coimbatore. The ideal candidate should have 5 to 10 years of experience in sales within the paint, cement, construction materials or related industry, with a strong background in business development and team management. An MBA is required for this position, and the candidate must be willing to travel extensively within the state.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Sales Strategy and Planning:
o Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve company goals and objectives as per the business plan.
o Identify new market opportunities and channels for growth in the TMT rebars sector.
o Analyze market trends and competitor activities to adjust strategies accordingly.
2. Team Leadership and Management:
o Set sales targets, monitor performance metrics, and provide guidance and support to achieve targets.
o Foster a culture of teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement within the sales team.
3. Customer Relationship Management:
o Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, architects, builders, and contractors.
o Negotiate and close major sales opportunities including projects ensuring customer satisfaction and loyalty.
o Resolve customer complaints and issues in a timely manner.
4. Market Expansion and Business Development:
o Drive business development initiatives to expand market share and penetrate new territories.
o Collaborate with marketing and implement below line marketing activities.
o Participate in industry events, exhibitions, and trade shows to enhance brand visibility and network with industry influencers.
5. Reporting and Analysis:
o Prepare regular sales reports, forecasts, and budgets for management review.
o Monitor sales performance against targets and implement corrective actions as needed.
o Provide strategic insights and recommendations based on sales data and market analysis.
Requirements:
· MBA or equivalent qualification.
· 5 to 10 years of progressive experience in sales within the paint, cement, construction materials or related industry.
· Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving revenue growth.
· Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a sales team.
· Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
· Willingness to learn new things, adaptability, data analysis skills etc
· Accolades or recognition for outstanding sales achievements preferred.
· Willingness to travel extensively in the territory for business meetings and industry events.
