Position: Control Design Manager
Work Experience: 5-10 Years.
Education: - Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Control Design Manager to lead the development and
implementation of control systems in industrial automation projects. The ideal candidate will
have a strong background in electrical/control system design, PLC/HMI programming, and
team leadership. This role involves managing a team of control engineers, overseeing
automation project lifecycles, and ensuring timely delivery of robust, scalable control
solutions.
Responsibilities and Job Description
- Study customer RFQ and prepare scope.
- PLC selection
- Control item selection
- Review and develop detailed control system designs, control panel layouts,
wiring diagrams, and network architectures.
- Check Electrical drawings. E-plan/AutoCAD
- Lead and manage a team of control engineers responsible for the design,
programming.
- Manage project timelines, resource allocation, and budgets related to control
system development.
- Collaborate with mechanical and software engineering teams to ensure
seamless system integration.
- Control DAP drawing preparation/Check and getting approval from Customer.
- Supervision on Equipment testing at shopfloor and commissioning at Customer
end & support online.
- Preparation/Check of proper design document to enable correct assembly and
trials.
- Guide team for Installation and commissioning of projects at various sites &
resolve issues of system communication & etc.
- Preparation/Check of proper documentation for every project.
- Detailed BOM and hardware preparation/Check to meet the project timeline
with cost control.
- Development of project software (PLC and HMI) considering all site
conditions, Interlocks, and equipment as well as human safety.
(Siemens/Mitsubishi)
- Implementation of developed software. • Documented check of auto cycle at shop floor as well as on site. • Documented check of all Interlocks and safety equipment. • Handling of team size 4-5 members. Required Skill: - • Strong organizational and communication skills. • Proven expertise in control panel design and PLC/HMI programming. • Capability to communicate effectively with internal stake holder (Mech design and Build team) and Customer.
