The Welfare Officer is responsible for promoting employee welfare, ensuring statutory compliance, maintaining harmonious industrial relations, and supporting workplace health and safety initiatives. The role acts as a bridge between employees and management to create a positive, compliant, and productive work environment.
Key Responsibilities
Act as a liaison between management and employees to address concerns related to workplace welfare and employee well-being.
Coordinate welfare initiatives including canteen facilities, crèches, rest shelters, sanitation, drinking water, medical support, pension schemes, gratuity, and employee assistance programs.
Plan and organize employee engagement programs, health camps, awareness drives, and cultural activities.
Monitor employee satisfaction and work-life balance while addressing grievances in a timely and confidential manner.
Ensure compliance with labor laws including the Factories Act, Industrial Disputes Act, Minimum Wages Act, PF, ESI, and other statutory requirements.
Maintain statutory registers, records, and documentation related to labor compliance and welfare activities.
Facilitate PF and ESI documentation, claims, and employee support processes accurately and within timelines. Support implementation of workplace safety measures including fire safety drills, first-aid awareness, and hazard prevention activities.
Provide counseling and guidance to employees on personal and professional issues affecting workplace performance.
