Job Description
BIPS Systems Limited is looking for an experienced Senior Server Support Engineer (L2 Support) to join our IT Infrastructure team. The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on experience in server administration, desktop support, Microsoft technologies, Active Directory, networking, and enterprise IT infrastructure.
The selected candidate will be responsible for providing Level-2 technical support, ensuring smooth IT operations, and resolving hardware, software, server, and network-related issues across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide Level 2 (L2) Desktop Support for hardware, software, and operating system-related issues.
- Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot desktops, laptops, printers, scanners, and peripheral devices.
- Install, configure, and support Windows 10 & Windows 11 operating systems.
- Manage and support Microsoft 365, Outlook, Microsoft Teams, and other business applications.
- Administer Active Directory, including user account creation, password resets, group policies, permissions, and user management.
- Configure and support VPN, LAN, Wi-Fi, and perform basic network troubleshooting.
- Monitor and troubleshoot Windows Server environments.
- Perform software installations, upgrades, patch management, and system updates.
- Coordinate with internal teams and vendors to resolve technical issues.
- Maintain IT asset records, documentation, and support logs.
- Ensure smooth day-to-day IT infrastructure operations and provide timely technical support.
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of Windows 10 & Windows 11
- Hands-on experience with Windows Server Administration
- Good knowledge of Microsoft 365, Outlook, and Microsoft Teams
- Experience in Active Directory administration
- Basic knowledge of DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP, VPN, LAN, Wi-Fi, and Network Troubleshooting
- Experience in hardware troubleshooting and desktop support
- Good communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and handle multiple support requests efficiently
Educational Qualification
- B.Tech / BE in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics & Communication, or a related discipline.
- BCA / MCA or Diploma in Computer Engineering / Information Technology can also apply.
- Microsoft Certifications such as MCSA, MCSE, Microsoft 365, Azure Administrator, CCNA, or equivalent certifications will be an added advantage.
Experience Required
5–6 years of relevant experience in:
- L2 Desktop Support
- Windows Server Administration
- Microsoft 365 Administration
- Active Directory Management
- IT Infrastructure Support
- Network Troubleshooting
- Enterprise IT Support Environment
Preferred Candidate
- Experience in enterprise or government IT infrastructure projects.
- Strong knowledge of Windows Server, Microsoft 365, Active Directory, and networking.
- Ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues independently.
- Immediate Joiners will be given preference.
