Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Team Lead with 3+ years of experience in the EdTech or Education industry. The ideal candidate should have experience in leading a team of Academic Counselors or Admission Executives, driving student enrollments, achieving sales targets, coaching team members, and ensuring excellent customer engagement. The Team Lead will be responsible for monitoring team performance, improving conversion rates, and supporting the overall business growth of the organization.
Key Roles & Responsibilities
Team Leadership
- Lead, mentor, and motivate a team of Academic Counselors, Admission Executives, or Sales Executives.
- Allocate daily leads and monitor follow-up activities.
- Conduct daily team meetings, performance reviews, and coaching sessions.
- Support team members in handling complex student and parent queries.
- Foster a positive, target-oriented, and collaborative work environment.
Sales & Admissions
- Drive student enrollments by achieving individual and team admission targets.
- Monitor the complete sales cycle from lead generation to enrollment.
- Ensure timely follow-up of all assigned leads.
- Improve lead-to-enrollment conversion rates through effective guidance and support.
- Handle high-value or escalated admission cases.
Performance Management
- Monitor daily, weekly, and monthly team performance.
- Track key performance metrics such as calls, follow-ups, conversions, and enrollments.
- Identify performance gaps and implement improvement plans.
- Conduct regular feedback and one-on-one review sessions.
Student & Parent Engagement
- Counsel prospective students and parents regarding courses, career opportunities, and program benefits.
- Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction throughout the admission process.
- Resolve escalations professionally and efficiently.
- Build long-term relationships with students and parents.
Lead Management
- Ensure proper allocation and tracking of leads through the CRM system.
- Maintain accurate records of inquiries, follow-ups, and admissions.
- Coordinate with the marketing team regarding lead quality and campaign performance.
- Ensure timely updates of all student interactions.
Training & Development
- Train new counselors on products, sales processes, and counseling techniques.
- Conduct regular product knowledge and communication skill sessions.
- Share best practices to improve team productivity and conversion rates.
- Encourage continuous learning and professional development.
Reporting & Coordination
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly sales reports.
- Present performance updates to management.
- Coordinate with Marketing, Academics, Finance, Operations, and Placement teams for smooth admission processing.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and admission procedures.
Required Skills

Educational Qualification
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Management, or any related field.
- MBA is preferred but not mandatory.

- Minimum 3 years of experience in the EdTech, Education, Training, or Skill Development sector.
- Experience in leading admissions, counseling, or sales teams.
- Proven record of consistently achieving admission and revenue targets.
- Experience with CRM-based lead management systems.
