As a Data Engineer, a typical day involves designing, developing, and maintaining comprehensive data solutions that support the generation, collection, and processing of data. This role requires creating efficient data pipelines and ensuring the integrity and quality of data throughout its lifecycle. The position also involves implementing extract, transform, and load processes to facilitate seamless migration and deployment of data across various systems, enabling smooth data flow and accessibility for organizational needs. Collaboration with different teams to align data strategies and troubleshoot data-related challenges is an integral part of the daily routine.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Expected to be an SME, collaborate and manage the team to perform.
- Responsible for team decisions.
- Engage with multiple teams and contribute on key decisions.
- Provide solutions to problems for their immediate team and across multiple teams.
- Lead the design and implementation of scalable data architectures to support business requirements.
- Oversee the monitoring and optimization of data pipelines to ensure high performance and reliability.
- Mentor junior team members to foster skill development and knowledge sharing.
- Coordinate with stakeholders to understand data needs and translate them into technical solutions.
Professional & Technical Skills:
- Must To Have Skills: Proficiency in Amazon Web Services (AWS), AWS Glue.
- Good To Have Skills: Experience with AWS Glue, Redshift and Lambda
- Strong knowledge of cloud-based data storage and processing services within Amazon Web Services.
- Experience in building and managing ETL pipelines to handle large volumes of data efficiently.
- Familiarity with data integration, transformation, and migration techniques in cloud environments.
- Ability to troubleshoot and optimize data workflows to maintain data accuracy and system performance.
Additional Information:
- The candidate should have minimum 5 years of experience in Amazon Web Services (AWS).
- This position is based at our Bengaluru office.
- A 15 years full time education is required.
