Job Summary:
We are seeking a Local Planning Authority Coordinator to manage statutory approvals, compliance documentation, and liaison activities with local planning and government authorities for institutional infrastructure projects. The role is responsible for ensuring timely approvals, regulatory compliance, and effective coordination with internal departments, consultants, contractors, and external authorities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate with Local Planning Authorities, municipal bodies, government departments, and regulatory agencies for obtaining approvals and ensuring statutory compliance.
- Manage the submission, follow-up, renewal, and tracking of building plan approvals, layout approvals, licenses, NOCs, land-related documents, and other regulatory permissions.
- Ensure compliance with applicable regulations, zoning laws, building rules, environmental norms, and statutory requirements.
- Liaise with architects, consultants, engineers, contractors, and internal departments for preparation and submission of approval-related documents.
- Coordinate inspections, site visits, and interactions with government officials and regulatory authorities.
- Maintain records and documentation related to approvals, permits, drawings, correspondence, and regulatory submissions.
- Support infrastructure and development projects by facilitating approvals, resolving regulatory issues, and ensuring timely compliance.
- Monitor changes in regulatory requirements and update management on compliance obligations and potential impacts.
- Prepare status reports, compliance updates, and documentation related to approvals, inspections, audits, and project reviews.
Desired Candidate Qualifications
- B.E./B.Tech in Civil Engineering, Architecture, Urban Planning, Public Administration, or a related field. Additional qualification in Town Planning or Construction Management will be preferred.
- Minimum 5–10 years of experience in statutory approvals, liaisoning, local authority coordination, and infrastructure project compliance.
- Experience in obtaining statutory approvals from Municipal Corporations, DTCP, CMDA, LPA, or other government authorities. Experience in educational institutions or infrastructure projects is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of planning regulations, approval procedures, statutory compliance requirements, approval documentation, and engineering drawings.
- Good coordination, negotiation, stakeholder management, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong documentation, reporting, and follow-up capabilities.
- Proficiency in MS Office and related office applications.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills with the ability to work independently and ensure timely completion of approval processes.
