Key Responsibilities EDGE BAND OPERATOR
Machine OperationSet up and operate fully automatic / semi-automatic edge banding machines.Select correct tape (PVC/ABS/Veneer/Laminate) as per job order.Adjust temperature, feed speed, pressure rollers, and trimming tools as required.Load and unload panels, ensuring no damage.Change glue, cutters, and basic tooling as needed.
Quality ControlCheck bonding strength, finish, trimming, and corner radius.Ensure size accuracy and alignment within tolerance.Inspect material for chips, burns, gaps, glue marks, and surface defects.Maintain clean, defect-free finish to meet company quality standards.Document and report defects to supervisor immediately.
Production & DocumentationFollow daily production plan and complete given output on time.Record production data: quantity, wastage, downtime, and machine consumption.Assist in panel identification, labeling, and storage.
Maintenance & SafetyPerform daily machine cleaning and basic maintenance.Monitor glue level, machine lubrication, and tool wear.Follow safety standards while operating equipment.Keep workstation clean and organized (5S compliance).
Skills & CompetenciesExperience operating Edge Banding Machine (Biesse, Homag, Nanxing, Jai, etc.)Knowledge of panel materials (MDF, Particle Board, Plywood).Basic understanding of mechanical adjustments and tooling.Ability to read job cards, production drawings, and measurements.Attention to detail and quality-focused mindset.
Qualification & ExperienceEducation: Minimum 10th / ITI (Preferred: Carpentry / Woodworking / Machine Operator).
Experience: 1–3 years experience in panel furniture manufacturing or related.
