Project Manager in the piping industry oversees the end-to-end execution of piping construction or fabrication projects. They lead multidisciplinary teams, control budgets and timelines, and ensure all work strictly complies with international quality, welding, and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Project Execution & Planning: Define project scope, establish milestones, and coordinate daily site operations.
- Budget & Cost Control: Develop preliminary budgets, forecast expenses, track project costs, and process client billing/claims.
- Quality & Compliance: Supervise Non-Destructive Testing (NDT), enforce quality assurance, and ensure compliance with industry codes (e.g., ASME, ANSI).
- Safety Management: Enforce strict Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) protocols on-site to mitigate risks and prevent accidents.
- Stakeholder Coordination: Act as the primary point of contact for clients, engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers.
Essential Requirements & Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or Construction Management.
- Experience: Typically 5 to 15 years of progressive experience in industrial, process, or utility piping.
- Technical Knowledge: Deep understanding of fabrication processes, welding procedures, fluid dynamics, and materials.
- Software Skills: Proficiency in scheduling and management tools like Primavera and MS Project.
Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
