Dispensing Support
- Assist the pharmacist in dispensing medicines as per valid prescription.
- Arrange and issue medicines accurately under pharmacist supervision.
- Cross-check drug name, strength, dosage form, quantity, and expiry date before dispensing.
- Ensure FIFO / FEFO method is followed. Inventory & Stock Management
- Receive, check, and arrange medicines and consumables.
- Maintain proper stock shelves and labeling.
- Monitor expiry dates, near-expiry, and damaged stock.
- Assist in stock entry, issue records, and physical stock verification.
Billing & Documentation
- Assist in billing and cash/credit entries (where applicable).
- Maintain purchase bills, issue registers, and indent records.
- Support pharmacist in maintaining NABH-required pharmacy registers.
- File prescriptions and records as per hospital policy.
Storage & Cold Chain Maintenance
- Ensure proper storage conditions for medicines.
- Monitor and record pharmacy refrigerator temperature daily.
- Maintain cold chain for vaccines and temperature-sensitive drugs.
Patient Support & Communication
- Guide patients on medicine usage, timing, and precautions as instructed by the pharmacist.
- Politely handle patient queries and direct clinical questions to the pharmacist.
- Maintain professional and ethical conduct with patients and staff.
