We are looking for a skilled and experienced CNC Sliding Head Machine Programmer & Setter to join our Product Development team. The ideal candidate will independently handle programming, setting, and hands-on operation of CNC sliding headstock machines, while guiding and managing shift operators to consistently meet production and quality targets.
Key Responsibilities
- Program, set up, and operate CNC sliding head (Swiss-type) machines.
- Supervise and manage shift-based machine operators.
- Train and guide operators to improve efficiency and reduce errors.
- Plan and monitor shift-wise production targets.
- Ensure strict adherence to quality standards, especially for medical-grade components.
- Interpret drawings and ensure precision machining within tight tolerances.
- Conduct in-process inspections using measuring instruments (micrometers, verniers, gauges).
- Troubleshoot machining and production issues during shifts.
- Optimize cycle time and improve productivity.
- Maintain safety, cleanliness, and discipline on the shop floor.
- Coordinate with quality and production teams to ensure smooth workflow.
Requirements:
- Diploma / B.Tech / B.E in Mechanical Engineering.
- Proven experience in CNC Sliding Head Machine Programming & Operation.
- Experience in handling or supervising operators in a shift environment.
- Knowledge of CNC controls.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
- Experience working with precision or medical components is an advantage.
