We are currently looking for an experienced IBDP Global Politics Tutor to conduct one-to-one online classes for an international student.
Role Overview
We are seeking a knowledgeable and experienced Global Politics tutor with proven experience teaching the IB Diploma Programme (IBDP). The ideal candidate should be confident in teaching political concepts, global issues, case studies, political analysis, and IB-style assessment skills.
The tutor should be able to encourage critical thinking, balanced arguments, evaluation, and evidence-based analysis while preparing the student for IBDP assessments and examinations.
Responsibilities
- Teach IBDP Global Politics through one-to-one online classes.
- Follow the student's IBDP syllabus, coursework, and academic requirements.
- Explain political concepts and theories using relevant real-world examples and case studies.
- Develop the student's critical thinking, analytical, evaluation, and argument-building skills.
- Help the student analyse global political issues from multiple perspectives.
- Support assignments, revision, examination preparation, and IB assessments.
- Help the student develop strong evidence-based and structured responses.
- Identify learning gaps and adapt lessons according to the student's needs.
- Track student progress and provide feedback when required.
- Conduct engaging, interactive, and academically rigorous lessons.
Requirements Must Have :
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Political Science, International Relations, Global Politics, or a closely related field.
- Proven experience teaching IBDP Global Politics.
- Strong understanding of the IBDP curriculum and assessment requirements.
- Excellent spoken and written English communication skills.
- Strong analytical and critical-thinking skills.
- Prior experience conducting one-to-one online classes.
- Ability to work with international students.
- Stable internet connection, laptop/desktop, webcam, headset, and a quiet teaching environment.
Preferred :
- Experience preparing students specifically for IBDP examinations and assessments.
- Experience with IB Global Politics internal assessment/coursework.
- Strong knowledge of contemporary global political issues and case studies.
- Familiarity with digital teaching tools and online whiteboards.
